Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about NEXUS Aegis.

If you have a question not answered below, visit the Help Center or contact our team.

Is NEXUS Aegis connected to real exchanges?

Live price data is sourced from Binance WebSocket, giving you real-time ticker updates across 200+ pairs. The charting engine uses TradingView, which connects directly to Binance and other major exchanges. The Order Ticket and portfolio tracking are currently simulated — no real broker connection is active. This is clearly labelled throughout the platform.

How are signals generated?

Signals are produced by a rule-based multi-timeframe confluence engine that evaluates trend, momentum, mean reversion, breakout, and volume patterns across 15m, 1h, 4h, and 1d timeframes. Each signal includes an entry, stop loss, target, risk/reward ratio, and confidence score. Signals are NOT AI-generated predictions — they are deterministic rules applied to live price data.

What is the Multi-Agent system?

The Multi-Agent Research Dashboard runs 6 independent analysis agents (Trend, Momentum, Mean Reversion, Breakout, Volume, and Confluence) in parallel, each producing a stance (bullish / bearish / neutral) and confidence score. A weighted consensus is derived from their combined output. This provides a structured way to see where agents agree and where they conflict.

What data source is used for Economic Events?

Economic events are fetched from the Finnhub Economic Calendar API. Data is cached server-side for 5 minutes to avoid rate limiting. If no Finnhub API key is configured, the Events page shows a clear error rather than silent placeholder data. Add FINNHUB_API_KEY to your environment to enable live events.

Is the backtest engine using real historical data?

The Backtest Lab uses a simulated backtest engine that produces realistic equity curves, drawdown profiles, and trade logs based on strategy parameters. It does not connect to real historical price APIs (such as Binance klines) at this stage. The results are clearly labelled as simulated and are intended for strategy exploration rather than precise historical validation.

What is the Cosmos module?

Cosmos is an interpretive symbolic analysis module that generates astrological and numerological "readings" for a given coin and date. It is fully isolated from all other analysis, signals, and agents. It is labelled as interpretive/symbolic — not predictive or financial advice. It is included as a creative research tool for users who incorporate non-traditional market context into their own process.

What is Sidekick AI?

Sidekick is an in-terminal AI assistant that answers questions about price action, signals, risk, and market structure. It uses keyword routing and context from the currently selected symbol and timeframe. It is not connected to a live language model by default — advanced response quality requires configuring an AI provider key in settings.

Is my trading data private?

Order Ticket submissions and portfolio state are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not sent to any server. Live price data flows through Binance WebSocket directly from your browser. Economic event data passes through our API route with a server-side cache. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel at any time from the Settings page or by contacting support. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. See the Refund Policy for details on eligibility for refunds.

What are the system requirements?

NEXUS Aegis runs in any modern browser. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari are all supported. The TradingView chart requires a stable internet connection. Mobile layout is supported but the full experience is optimised for desktop screens of 1280px width or wider.
